Summary: Minot's Empire Theatre building is torn down.

Details: I'm a big movie fan. I've mellowed a bit -- I used to be a movie fanatic. In any event, I was saddened to see The Empire Theater close and then brokenhearted when news came that it was to be demolished. A place of on-screen magic was going to be turned into a parking lot. I have a nostalgic streak when it comes to the past giving way to progress. It's evident in a few other similar stories.
