Experience the Old Liberty Memorial Bridge
Thanks to digital video and panoramic VR images, you can drive across the old bridge in either direction, or stop in the middle on the bridge walkway and take a look around.

Driving across the old Liberty Memorial Bridge, going west to east, from Mandan to Bismarck. The sun is low in the sky, so it is shining almost directly into the video, creating the vertical purple streaks. This is the last day the bridge was open to normal public traffic. At 11:00 a.m., the bridge was permanently closed and traffic redirected over the new bridge. Click the play button on the player to the left to drive across the old bridge.

Looking out on the Missouri River from the south side walkway, standing at the center of the Liberty Memorial Bridge. This was taken a few years before work began on the replacement bridge. Thus, the southern view of the Missouri River is unobstructed.
